About our mediators

Our mediators are qualified to the highest national standards to deliver Financial Mediation – including property, businesses, pensions, other assets, debts, maintenance, inheritance and anything else important to clients; and Parenting Mediation – including children’s arrangements (term-time, holidays), birthdays/special days, communication, travel and passports, extended family, new partners, decision making, cultural/religious upbringing, health and anything else important to you/your children.

Members of our mediation team have also achieved the rigorous qualifications needed to deliver MIAMs and are Family Mediation Council accredited.

Our mediators attend regular supervision sessions and complete annual continual professional development.

Everyone with direct contact with our clients has an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate and has undertaken Safeguarding training.

Our office team of Client Managers will be your main point of contact for enquiries and booking appointments. At busy times you may be put through to our answering machine – please leave a message and one of the team will call you back as soon as possible. Please note that mediators are unable to speak directly to clients outside of the mediation sessions – please direct any questions to the office team.

As a registered charity, we are governed by a Board of six trustees.

Training and trainees

We are proud to be a Mediation Teaching Service which means we routinely award placements to trained family mediators working towards Accreditation.

Trainees are appointed through a competitive selection process and work with our clients across the full range of family mediation cases under the direct supervision of our accredited family mediation team.

All TVFMS Trainees have successfully completed the Training Programme required by the Family Mediation Council.
